Monsoonal thunderstorms possible through Thursday
Main risk over mountains and deserts
The National Weather Service reports that showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast with monsoonal moisture moving into the region.
The storms are expected to become wetter by Wednesday. Brief, but heavy downpours are possible and there may be local flooding of roads and arroyos in mountains and deserts. Monsoonal thunderstorms are expected in the interior areas of San Luis Obispo County.
The NWS suggests that campers and hikers should keep following weather updates, that travelers should stay out of dry washes and arroyos regardless of where the storm is and that nobody should drive across flooded roadways.
