SLO County residents can now book COVID-19 vaccine appointments at ‘My Turn’

vaccine–Residents of San Luis Obispo County who want to be vaccinated against COVID-19 at one of the county’s three mass vaccination clinics can now make their COVID-19 vaccination appointments on the state’s My Turn website.

“Vaccinating as many people as we can as quickly as we can is one of the best ways to end this pandemic,” said County Public Health Officer Dr. Penny Borenstein. “Safe, free, and effective COVID-19 vaccines are now available to anyone age 16 and up.”

The county has closed its own vaccine registry at recoverslo.org and anyone still in the registry received the opportunity today to make a first-dose appointment for next week. All other residents seeking a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the County Public Health Department can check myturn.ca.gov or call (833) 422-4255.

Appointments at the County’s mass vaccination clinics will open regularly on My Turn based on the county’s available vaccine supply. My Turn is a web-based application available through a computer, smartphone, or tablet device.

Anyone without internet access may call the CA COVID-19 hotline at 1-833-422-4255 for appointment assistance Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., or Saturday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

My Turn is available in 12 languages: Armenian, English, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Punjabi, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Traditional Chinese, and Vietnamese. The COVID- 19 hotline is staffed by agents who speak English and Spanish and has a real-time language translation service that supports 250+ other languages.

Other SLO County vaccine providers offer appointments separately from My Turn. Anyone looking for a COVID-19 vaccine from a different provider can use the CDC’s Vaccine Finder app at vaccinefinder.org.

The SLO County Phone Assistance Center at (805) 543-2444 remains open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit www.RecoverSLO.org/Vaccine.
