Atascadero Chamber of Commerce to present 2020 Employment Law Update
–The upcoming Atascadero Chamber of Commerce luncheon will take place on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will focus on new laws for 2020 which will affect employers and employees.
The special guest speaker will be Attorney Susan S. Waag, who specializes in employment law and human resources. Susan will explain the details of the new laws and how they impact the workforce. Specific points that will be covered include: extended deadlines for sexual harassment prevention training, paid family leave expansions, new lactation accommodation requirements, the CalSavers Program, minimum wage increases, organ donation changes, among many others.
This special luncheon is presented by the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce. The event will take place at the SpringHill Suites, 900 El Camino Real, in Atascadero. Lunch will be provided by Union & Vine.
For Atascadero Chamber members the cost is $25, and for non-members, it’s $30. Space is limited and this event is expected to sell out quickly.
