Atascadero Greyhounds host Buena High School Friday night 

–The Atascadero Greyhounds are home Friday night against Buena High School of Ventura. Kick-off is at 7:30. In their opening game last week, Atascadero lost to Sunnyside of Fresno, 30-7. Last week in their first game, Buena beat Santa Barbara 51-14.

Friday night, the Paso Robles Bearcat football team travels to Bakersfield to take on Frontier High School. Both teams lost their first games of the 2019 season. Paso Robles lost to Liberty 24-0 at War Memorial Stadium. Frontier lost to St. Bonaventure in Ventura, 38-13. Max Preps ranks the Bearcats higher than Frontier in the CA ratings: 361-393. That game gets underway at 7 p.m. tonight. At kick-off, Bakersfield is forecast to be 93 degrees with 30-percent humidity.

The Templeton Eagles have a bye Friday night. The Eagles host Carmel in their home opener next Friday.
