Police searching for man who they say stole from Faces of Freedom memorial 

–On Wednesday at 12:21 p.m., the Atascadero Police Department responded to a theft at the Faces of Freedom Veterans Memorial located at 8024 Portola Rd. in Atascadero.

During a review of the facilities surveillance video, a Faces of Freedom representative found that someone had stolen a flower urn the morning of July 7, 2019. The urn and flowers had been placed on the ground below the Global War on Terror plaque.

An initial report was taken and the case has been forwarded to an Atascadero Police Detective for follow-up.

Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact APD, reference case #19-1859.
