For $12 adults got all the Dr. Bernstein’s Ice Cream they wanted. DJ Gary Brill played animal songs and appropriate summer music.

Docent Alex Ball talks about snake skins and animal shells.

Docent Alex Ball encouraged kids and adults to touch a collection of snake skins and turtle shells. She explained why turtles enjoy being petted by humans.

The meerkats studied those who attended the event while watching for flying predators. As people devoured gallons of ice cream, Troop 51 Boy Scouts helped empty trash. Proceeds benefit the Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero.
