Summer youth basketball registration now open
–The City of Atascadero coed summer league is offered for boys and girls in a non-competitive setting. The league is open to grades 1st through 12th and for any skill level. The program stresses the importance of individual skill development, teamwork, positive attitudes and most of all fun!
The league will start Monday, June 10 with two weeks of skills/practices where players will have the opportunity to work with and learn from experienced players and coaches.
After the skills/practice weeks, the players will have games twice a week. This will provide inexperienced players the opportunity to learn the structure of gameplay, while the more experienced players get to continue improving their skills in actual gameplay. For the younger players, we will take time to train the players so that they have a good understanding for the rules and structure of gameplay.
Games will be held Monday through Thursday evenings, June 24 through July 25 with each team having two games per week.
Registration deadline is June 3. The cost is $71.50 (includes team t-shirt). To register, you must fill out the Basketball Registration Form at the Colony Park Community Center, 5599 Traffic Way, Mon-Fri, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. For more information, please call (805) 470-3360.
