Atascadero residents participate in ‘Bike-to-Work Day’ 

–Dozens of Atascadero residents who participated Friday in Rideshares “Bike-to-Work Day” gathered Friday afternoon in front of the Rotunda for a bike fest featuring craft beer and appetizers.

Jacque Fields of Wild Fields Microbrewery organized the event to celebrate those who rode their bikes to work.

Fields said, “We decided to put on a special Bikefest for ‘Bike-to-Work Day.’ We had amber ale from Dead Oak and pale ale from Tent City and bites of food from Fig at Courtney’s House. It was a great opportunity to partner with Visit Atascadero and the City of Atascadero to promote bike accessibility.”

Among those who rode their bikes to work Friday, Atascadero Community Development Director Phil Dunsmore, who said the weather Friday was perfect for Bike-to-Work Day.
