–On Saturday at approximately 10:05 a.m., Grover Beach Police Department officers were dispatched to a citizen’s report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 200 block of N. 11th Street with the doors open. Officers responded and contacted Preston Scharf and Nikki Orellana inside the vehicle.

Orellana reportedly provided the false identification of another person to officers in the attempt to conceal her actual identity. Officers were able to determine Orellana real identity, that she was on Probation and currently had six outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Officers determined Scharf was also on Probation with a clause to submit to a search of property and person upon request of law enforcement. A probation search of Sharf and his vehicle discovered he was in possession of a loaded handgun that was reported stolen out of San Luis Obispo, five counterfeit $100 bills, a useable amount of narcotics (heroin), controlled substance paraphernalia, and two spring-loaded knives. Both Sharf and Orellana were taken into custody without incident. Both were transported and booked into county jail.
