Female suspects wanted for identity theft
–On Nov. 16, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen credit card from a mailbox at a residence in Arroyo Grande which had been used at businesses in the county at multiple locations including Atascadero, San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach.
The victim reported she had never received a replacement credit card that was mailed to her home. When she contacted the credit card company, she was informed the card had already been activated and used at several locations.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the credit card had been used on the same day at a Shell gas station in Atascadero, the Target store and Apple store in San Luis Obispo, Pac Sun, Perfumania, Coach, Zumiez, and Vans in the Pismo Beach Outlet center.
Total loss is estimated at $5,000.
Detectives are releasing surveillance photos of the two female suspects and the suspect’s car. One suspect is described as a middle-aged White female, approximately 5′ 4″ tall, with long black hair, wearing dark blue jeans and a long sleeved gray hooded sweatshirt with 2 black horizontal stripes on the sleeve. The other suspect is described as a White female, 5′ 7″ tall, heavy-set, with blond hair, and wearing jeans and a grey sweatshirt.
The suspect vehicle is described as a newer model silver colored 4-door Cadillac.
