Note: The library will be closed Monday, Nov. 12 for Veteran’s Day, Friday, Nov. 16 for staff training, and Thursday and Friday, Nov. 22 and 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Children’s programs
Preschool Storytimes
Preschool storytimes are scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30. They will share stories and songs.
Toddler Storytime
Join us for a storytime specifically designed for your toddler every Friday morning at 10:30. They will share stories, rhymes, music and
fingerplays.
Family Movie
Saturday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. See library website for details. All ages.
Craft Club
Come make a fun project! Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 3:30 p.m. Registration required. Ages 6-12.
Paws to read to Daisy
Thursday, Nov. 1 and Thursday, Nov. 15 at 3:30 p.m. Practice reading anything to Daisy the dog and she will listen! School age.
Mixed Media Art of Teens
Get creative and make an art project with local artist Sara McGrath. Saturday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. A-Town CreateSpace. Ages 10-17.
Painting for Teens
Learn how to paint with local artist Abbey Onikoyi. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m. A-Town CreateSpace. Ages 10-17.
Lego Club
Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. for some Lego building fun! Registration required. Ages 5-12.
Chumash Program for Children
Chumash Interactive Circle with Yak Tityu Tityu Yak Tilhini. Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with Chumash songs and stories.

Book Discussion Groups
The two library book groups are Gems in the Stacks which meets the 1st Tuesday (Nov. 6) of the month at 11 and Mixed Minds Book Group which meets the 3rd Thursday (Nov. 15) of the month at 2:30. Gems in the Stacks will discuss Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Mixed Minds Book Group will discuss Sing, Unburied, Sing by Jesmyn Ward.
“Images of North County” art exhibit
Selected photography will be on display on the theme “Images of North County” during November.
Alice Creasy Rew Bookstore
The Alice Creasy Rew Bookstore is located by the lobby of the Atascadero Library. This is the place to find great used books for sale at fabulous bargain prices.
