Tickets available for opening, closing tastings at Hospice du Rhône

–Tickets are still available for the opening and closing tasting events at Hospice du Rhône, an exclusive weekend surrounding all things Rhône coming to Paso Robles April 26.
It has been noted that one would require a passport, numerous flights and a few weeks of travel to even begin to experience the Rhône wine journey found at the Paso Robles Hospice du Rhône wine weekend! Tickets are still available for this one-of-a-kind tasting experience in the heart of Paso Robles wine country. Grab your ticket to the Opening and Closing Tasting now because this experience won’t be back in Paso Robles until 2020.
Opening Tasting: Friday, April 27
Rhône wine producers from far and wide will be opening bottles from vintages past to commence this Rhône dominated weekend. Wine verticals will abound and dusty bottles pulled from cellars will prevail at the Opening Tasting. Large format bottles and age-worthy Rhône whites will also take the stage at this tasting. Come treat your palate to a world of Rhône wines from the 2012 vintage and older to explore the age-worthiness of wines crafted by all Rhône producing rock stars in attendance. Though each producer pours at both the Opening and Closing Tastings wineries have been asked to pour different wines at each event.
3 – 4 p.m. – Private hour for Media and Trade (passes must be purchased in advance)
4 – 7 p.m. – Access for all pass holders
Closing Tasting, April 28
With a weekend reserved for a comprehensive journey through Rhône wines, the Closing Tasting is the perfect way to, well, close the weekend. At this tasting you will enjoy delectable Rhône wines from the 2012 vintage and newer. Winemakers and importers will share their current release wines along with futures and barrel samples. Come sip for yourself to taste the future of the wines crafted by the Rhône producers in attendance as we close this Rhône-dominated weekend. Though each producer pours at both the Opening and Closing Tastings wineries have been asked to pour different wines at each event.
