San Miguel resident publishes autobiography a day before passing
—Carole Breton, a former resident of San Miguel, co-worte her autobiography of living with Lou Gehrig’s disease and her purpose in life with local Paso Robles author Jeanne “Bean” Murdock. Publishing the book, titled “My Guardian Angel Wears Antiperspirant,” was Breton’s last wish before passing away on Feb. 14, 2018, a day after her autobiography was officially available in bookstores.

Carole Breton
“Read Antiperspirant to learn about Lou Gehrig’s disease and the disease’s association to military service, to be inspired to write your own story, to live vicariously through Breton’s past, or to just have a good laugh…She was very happy with and proud of her creation and accomplishment, which is already selling well,” wrote Murdock in a press release.
Breton raised miniature donkeys and worked at the Santa Maria and Paso Robles Target for around 30 years.
My Guardian Angel Wears Antiperspirant (Stinky Ghost Cat Books) is $14.95 and available at bookstores now. For more information, contact Murdock at (408) 203-7643 or visit her website at JeanneMurdock.com.
