Atascadero Community Band supports Applause Children’s Theater
–Atascadero Community Band selected Applause Children’s Theater of Paso Robles to benefit from their Holiday Concert on Dec. 10, 2017 at the Pavilion in Atascadero.
Recently representatives of ACB formally presented Director Vikky Mullin of A.C.T. with checks totaling $345 to help pay for the cost of costumes for their upcoming Broadway Show – Peter Pan.
ACB musicians are Beth Bean, Trumpet, a resident of Paso Robles; M J Basti, Baritone Saxophone, a resident of Atascadero and Glenda Goulet, Bassoon, of Atascadero. The children are some of the 80 plus cast members of Peter Pan.
ACB is scheduled to perform “A Night at the Opera” in the Afternoon on Sunday, March 4 from 3-5 p.m. Musicians plan to benefit the Children’s Concert sponsored annually by the San Luis Obispo Wind Orchestra affiliated with Cuesta College, according to the band.
ACB performs formal indoor concerts about every 6-8 weeks during the school year and weekly concerts on Tuesday evenings from 7 – 8 p.m. at the Atascadero Lake Park bandstand during the summer months.
