Road work planned on Highway 41
–A project to extend the left-turn lane and reconstruct the intersection of State Route 41 from west of Los Altos Road to east of Old Morro Road has resumed this week following delays due to rain in the area.
Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control at the intersection of State Route 41 at Los Altos Road beginning Tuesday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 16 from 9 am until 3 pm. Motorists can expect traffic delays not to exceed ten minutes.
The contractor for this $1.5 million emergency project is Shetler Construction of San Luis Obispo, CA. This project is being performed by the City of Atascadero under permit from Caltrans. It is expected to be complete this spring, weather permitting.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
