Atascadero Police donate presents to over 50 kids in need
–The Atascadero Police Association was once again blessed by partnerships with local donors to provide Christmas presents to over 50 children in need. Last year the APA was provided a monetary donation during the holiday season and used the money to provide presents to kids within the city.
This year, two separate anonymous donors reached out to the APA wanting to again contribute to the cause.
With funds from the Atascadero Police Association and two private donors they were able to partner with Family Care Network and provide sixteen $40 gift certificated for advocates to provide families in need. With the gift cards the FCN was able to identify their members who could use a little assistance during the holiday season and partner with the APA.
In addition to the gift cards, APA utilized the money donated to purchase gifts for over 50 local kids. APA members spent time wrapping the gifts to be delivered just before Christmas. They worked with the San Luis Sheriff’s Office and received 13 bicycles which will also be delivered.
