Road work for new left turn lane at Los Altos road starts next week
–A project to extend the left turn lane and reconstruct the intersection of State Route 41 from west of Los Altos Road to east of Old Morro Road will continue next week. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control at the intersection of State Route 41 at Los Altos Road on Thur, Dec 7 and Fri, Dec 8 from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. Motorists can expect the delays to be no more than five minutes.
The contractor for this $1.5 million dollar emergency project is Shetler Construction of San Luis Obispo. The contractor is working under a permit from Caltrans through the City of Atascadero.
Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
