Teen who died after surfing accident is identified 

On Thursday, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff‘s Deputies responded to a call from State Park Rangers regarding a surfer who was injured on Moonstone Beach in Cambria. The 19-year-old had been surfing with some friends in the waters off Moonstone Beach when he suffered a surfing accident. When Deputies arrived on the scene, CPR was in progress. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he died at approximately 8:15 p.m. Coroner Detectives are investigating.

The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Coroner is identified the victim as 19-year-old Liam Alexander Taylor of Cambria.

No foul play is suspected. An autopsy will be performed this week to determine the manner and cause of death. No further information is available at this time.
