Children’s Programs
Preschool Storytimes
Preschool storytimes are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 10:30. We will share stories and songs.
Toddler Storytimes
Join us for a storytime specifically designed for your toddler every Friday morning at 10:30. We will share stories, rhymes, music and finger plays.
Superhero Storytime

Adult Summer Reading
The Adult Summer Reading Program continues through July 29th with the theme “Build Better World”. Finish three books and get a prize and be invited to the “Celebration for the Finishers” which meets on August 5th from 12-1 where you’ll have a chance to win a Kindle Paperwhite E-reader. Color in Bloom: The Art of Mandy Weathers
During July, the Atascadero Library will feature the art of Mandy Weather. Her passions for color, flowers, architecture, and landscape design are reflected in the watercolors and acrylics in this exhibit. Weathers’ art has been displayed in galleries and art shows in Colorado and Oregon, as well as in California. For more details call the library at 461-6162.
Book Discussion Groups
The two adult library book groups are Gems in the Stacks, which meets this month on the 2nd Tuesday (July 11) of the month at 11:00 am, and Mixed Minds Book Group which meets the 3rd Thursday (July 20) of the month at 2:30 pm. Gems in the Stacks will discuss Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Mixed Minds Book Group will discuss The Buddha in the Attic by Julie Otsuka. For more information, please call the library at 461-6162.
Alice Creasy Rew Bookstore
The Alice Creasy Rew Bookstore is located by the lobby of the Atascadero Library. This is the place to find great used books for sale at fabulous bargain prices.
