Girl scouts gift art supplies to local ER
–A project conceived by Girl Scout Troop 896, which meets in Templeton, turned into more than 70 gifts donated to the Twin Cities Community Hospital Emergency Department, intended to make children who go to the ER more at ease. Eleven girls in Troop 896 collected art and other drawing supplies and packaged them for children to keep their minds off of their ailments while visiting the Twin Cities ER. Olivia Anderson, 10, of Monterey Road Elementary School in Atascadero, and Kaiya Rosilez, 9, from Children’s House Montesori in Atascadero, presented the art supplies to Twin Cities Emergency Room Director Deanna Porter.
