Emergency tree removal conducted on Highway 41 

– Caltrans conducted an emergency tree removal project near State Route 41 at Cerro Alto Road on Tuesday, May 30 and Wednesday, May 31 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control during this two-day project with delays not to exceed 15 minutes.

This project involves removing one large Oak tree which fell onto a second tree. This work will be performed by the Caltrans San Luis Obispo Maintenance team and the San Luis Obispo/Santa Barbara Tree Crews. Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down while driving through highway construction zones.
