Kids’ t-ball registration now open 

Atascadero-t-ball-registration–The City of Atascadero is beginning a new season of spring t-ball. Registrations are being accepted at the Colony Park Community Center at 5599 Traffic Way in Atascadero. The league is open to boys and girls who are ages four and a half to six years old, and participants are required to meet the minimum age requirement on or before March 18, 2017. The cost is $83 per child which includes a league t-shirt, hat, and a participation award. There will be an additional $10 late fee for any registration received after the deadline of Feb. 25.

This league focuses on teaching the basics of baseball in a low-key and instructional atmosphere, with the primary goal of having fun. Opening ceremonies will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Practices will begin the week of March 21 with league games starting on Tuesday, April 4. Games will take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at Paloma Creek Park and the league will run through May 25, 2017. The league is looking for volunteer coaches. If you are interested in helping with the league contact Larisse Lopez at llopez@atascadero.org or call (805) 470-3362. A coach’s meeting will be held on March 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Colony Park Community Center.

Team sponsors are also needed. Sponsorship information can be found on the city’s website or at the front desk at the community center.
