Los Osos resident Ian Trent Shaw Anderson arrested
–Recently, the San Luis Obispo Sheriff’s Office received information from a law enforcement agency in Minnesota that two 10-year-old girls in that state had been exchanging naked photos of themselves with a man living in Los Osos. The man was sending child pornography back to the two girls. The man was identified as 27-year-old Ian Trent Shaw Anderson of Los Osos.
During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that a 16-year-old female victim in San Luis Obispo County had been sexually assaulted by Anderson. It’s believed Anderson used the victim to manufacture child pornography for distribution.
On Thursday, detectives with the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team served a search warrant at Anderson’s home in the 1900 block of 11th Street in Los Osos. Investigators seized three cell phones, a tablet, and three laptops. On one cellphone alone, detectives found hundreds of commercial and home-made images of pre-pubescent children engaged in sexual acts. The rest of the seized electronics will be forensically analyzed for child pornography.
