–The Atascadero Historical Society announces that tickets are available for their Kick off Fundraiser for the Colony Heritage Center to be held at Pear Valley Winery on Saturday, Nov. 12. Tickets are $65 per person. This event starts at 5:30 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

The event will feature:

• Music provided by the Belmore’s
• Catered appetizers and buffet offering unique Italian cuisine
• Wine from the Pear Valley winery
• A silent auction
• An overview of the project

The price of each ticket is $65. Tickets are available at the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce (next to Denny’s) and the Colony House Museum, the latter being open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Colony Heritage Center will house the majority of the historical artifacts of the society as well as some special exhibits loaned to the society by friends and neighbors. In addition to “the Cabin,” they will also have two original Colony era homes on site as well as some ‘garages’ from the period that will house ADA Compliant rest rooms and offer additional exhibit and storage space. There will also be a plaza on the landscaped grounds featuring a life size statue of the founder of Atascadero: E. G. Lewis.
