Letter: Assembly candidate is a hypocrite 

To the editor,

It seems incredibly hypocritical to me that Assembly Candidate Dawn Ortiz-Legg would try to attack her opponent Jordan Cunningham for doing defense work as an attorney when she herself as a DUI on her record. Jordan has an impeccable record working for the Department of Justice, the District Attorney’s office, and for private law firms.

Some of his work as an attorney has been to defend people committing crimes, but everyone is entitled to a defense. Dawn should know this better than anyone given her history with the law. Dawn mentioned that her DUI was a great learning experience for her, but it obviously only taught her drinking limitations, and not how the criminal justice system works.
