Blake Shelton charms Paso Robles fans with music and laughs
By DuPree Dial
–On a hot night for cold brews, laughs and good ole’ country music, Blake Shelton delivered a fun night playing various songs from a few of his albums, charming the crowd at the Mid-State Fair Saturday night.
From “Mine Would be You” to “Kiss My Country Ass” to other crowd favorites, his charisma and down-home attitude resonated with the packed house. And his moments of talking to individuals in front rows offered humorous transitions.
Shelton is so laid back you feel like he’s one of the family and you could bring him home for a barbecue and beer, and you wouldn’t be surprised if he said yes. His banter in between songs was charming and funny. He’s so often in the public’s eye either through television show, The Voice or his connection with girlfriend Gwen Stephani that recently his music has taken a back seat, however, when the crowd is singing along word for word, you remember his country music has garnered award after award for a reason.
