Finding Dory packs theater in Morro Bay

–Newly released Pixar film, “Finding Dory” is packing in crowds at movie theaters across the nation, particularly at the Bay Theater in Morro Bay. The sequel to “Finding Nemo” begins with Dory, the fish with short-term memory issues, remembering her home of Morro Bay, California.
In the first 30 minutes, Dory repeats “Morro Bay” at least eight times. The movie describes her difficult journey back to her home and family, ostensibly in Morro Bay.
Although the Pixar film includes no visuals of Morro Rock or local landmarks, it promotes Morro Bay on the big screen.
Dory is voiced by Ellen Degeneres, who is exceptional as the forgetful fish. “The new film is not as good as Finding Nemo, but I enjoyed watching it at the Bay Theater,” said retired actor Tom Lancaster of Morro Bay.
