Campaign reports rash of political sign thefts

Michielssen_Logo–On May 6, the neighborhoods of Garden Farms, Margarita Farms and parts of Santa Margarita were raided, with nearly all of District Five Supervisorial Candidate Eric Michielssen’s campaign signs stolen, according to the Michielssen campaign.

Eric Michielssen is running for San Luis Obispo County Supervisor in District 5 against incumbent Supervisor Debbie Arnold.

The campaign said it filed a report with law enforcement, and they encourage anyone with information about the theft to contact the campaign at [email protected].

“While many are understandably upset about such an attack in our community, it is crucial at times like these to remember that our opponents are also our neighbors,” Campaign Manager Tami Gunther says, “We owe it to each other to respect the democratic process.”
