Adoptable pets of the week: Chica and Skylar
–– This edition of North County Adoptable Pets of the Week features Chica and Skylar.
The cat of the week from North County Humane Society is Skylar. Skylar is a beautiful, soft, short-hair, white cat who is very sweet and would make a great indoor pet. She is almost four years old and has been at NCHS since March 2014.
She was brought into the shelter when her owner developed health issues and could no longer care for her. Please come in a visit lovely girl and see just how friendly and playful she is.
Available cats and kittens can be seen on the website at www.slonchs.org. Potential pet parents are encouraged to stop by and visit with the cats to find the right one for their family.
The North County Humane Society is located just off of Highway 101 by the Del Rio Road exit at 2300 Ramona Rd. in Atascadero. They are open Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Complete information is listed on the website, or call NCHS at (805) 466-5403.
The featured dog of the week is Chica from Second Chance at Love, a dog rescue and sanctuary in Templeton that takes in abandoned, neglected, abused or abandoned dogs.
This sweet 9-year-old, 55-pound girl is without a family but that doesn’t get this happy girl down. She meets and greets every person with great exuberance and appreciation and is ready to share her darling personality with a loving family.
Chica needs a good leader. She’s a great dog to take out on the trail in the morning and relax with you each evening.
She’s a wonderful dog, which all the volunteers love, but she’s ready to find her new home.
