Solar system presentation planned at the library
–At the Atascadero library on Tuesday, Nov. 12, special guest George A Stetz will give an overview of the solar system. Stetz will talk about each of the planets from information derived from visiting spacecraft, and also discuss Hubble’s great finds at the edge of our solar system and beyond.
The Atascadero Library is located at 6555 Capistrano Avenue.
George A. Stetz has a career spanning 41 years of designing, developing, building, and launching on- orbit operations of various launch vehicles and spacecraft with the United States Air Force and Lockheed Martin. During his USAF career, Stetz was assigned to the NASA John F Kennedy Space Center Space Shuttle Program. Stetz retired from the USAF as the Western Test Range Commander at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California and from Lockheed Martin as the manager of program development at Vandenberg Air Force Base.
This presentation will be held in the library’s community room at 6:30 p.m. The program is designed for ages 10 to adult. The Atascadero Library is located at 6555 Capistrano Ave.
