Santa Margarita School reopens after fire threat 

Classes will begin again Thursday morning

– Cal Fire has notified the Atascadero Unified School District that the evacuation order for Santa Margarita School has been lifted. Classes will begin for Santa Margarita School on Thursday.

“The safety of AUSD students, staff, and community members continues to be our top priority. We are excited that students and staff are able to return to the campus and AUSD will continue to follow the recommendation of the San Luis Obispo County Air Pollution Control District and the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department,” Cal Fire states.

Additionally, at this time, the following transportation stop will not be accessible due to the Cal Fire Evacuation Zone: H St & Pinal at the Park. Any students displaced due to these closures may access transportation services by arriving at the Santa Margarita School Stop. View bus routes at atasusd.org for specific transportation pick up times.
