– Local band Crash Boom Twang recently had its premiere performance at the Mid-State Fair. The band is made up of locals Jerry LeMoine, Karen Sweeney Andersen, Danny Martin, and featured special guest performers Denny Caballo and John Clark.

LeMoine said that the band likes to play a mix of older rock and roll, rockabilly, country music, as well as a, “smattering of blues.”

The band was a recently put together project, direct from LeMoine’s garage to the stage at the Mid-State Fair. LeMoine is a retired Naval Commander as well as a CalPoly graduate. He is also a substitute teacher at Atascadero High School.

“We are certainly not in this for the money,” said LeMoine. “It’s just for fun. We like to see people smile, have a good time, and maybe dance a little,” he said.
