‘Ice Cream Zoofari’ to be held July 18
–The Charles Paddock Zoo will be hosting an evening great for all ages at the “Ice Cream Zoofari,” with music, activities, a wide variety of all-you-can-eat sweet treats, and over a hundred zoo animals.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and goes until 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 18. Entry fee includes all-you-can-eat ice cream, popsicles, sundaes and toppings.
The zoo currently has two Caribbean Flamingo chicks and a baby Prehensile-tailed Porcupine. The baby Flamingo chicks can be seen with the flock or standing on the nest mound near the pond in the Zoo’s Flamingo Exhibit. The baby porcupine is often visible to the public and can usually be seen lounging on a branch in the Porcupine exhibit.
There will be multiple ice cream stations located throughout the zoo and visitors will be able to discover what the animals are up to after the sun goes down. Visit the Education Station for games and facts on how animals cool down during the summer heat.
Tickets are $12 for 12-years-old and up; $8 for three to 11-years-old.; and free to ages two and under. All Zoo members receive $2 off every ticket purchased.
