The Mavericks to play at Mid State Fair July 31
– The Mavericks recently announced that they will be playing at the Mid State Fair on Friday, July 31 at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m., on the Frontier Stage.
With a Cuban-American lead singer, the Mavericks are inspired by a, “deep love of both romance and pure country to go with the polyrhythmic beats.” Their unique sound broke ground for the country format with hits like “Here Comes The Rain,” “Crying Shame,” “Dance The Night Away” and “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” and scored the group industry awards in prestigious categories like “Vocal Group” and “Album of the Year.”
Their first album, “In Time” topped many critics’ “best of” lists, including American Songwriter, The Boston Globe, NPR, Los Angeles Times and New York Magazine. The Mavericks’ music has most recently been featured in the movie Grudge Match and ABC’s Nashville.
