New event, ‘Brews and Blues,’ comes to Mid State Fair
Robert Cray and Stephen Stills to perform
The California Mid-State Fair announced a brand new night of entertainment called An Evening of Brews & Blues. The night will feature eight-person table seating, a “Golden Circle” of premium seats, and the normal grandstand seating (similar to the Evening of Music & Wine night). In addition, concert patrons will be able to purchase special craft beers not normally available during the fair.
Robert Cray and Stephen Stills have been confirmed to perform in the co-headlining concert, which will take place on Thursday, July 30, at 7 p.m. in the Main Grandstand Arena. To secure a table, please visit the fair’s website at www.MidStateFair.com for details.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 5, and will be available starting at 10 a.m. only online or by calling 1-800-909-FAIR, and then at 1 p.m. at the California Mid-State Fair box office, located at 2198 Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles or any ValliTix location.
The New Yorker recently called the five-time Grammy award-winner Robert Cray “one of the most reliable pleasures of soul and blues for over three decades now.“ He has written or performed with everyone from Eric Clapton to Stevie Ray Vaughan, from Bonnie Raitt to John Lee Hooker, and in 2011, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
Stephen Stills has a career now spanning six decades, with multiple solo works, and work with four groups – Manassas, Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. He has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice for Buffalo Springfield and Crosby Stills and Nash, is a member of the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, and is a BMI Music Icon.
The 2015 California Mid-State Fair runs July 22 through August 2.
