Taste of Templeton set for May 2
The 3rd annual Taste of Templeton Wine Festival is Saturday, May 2.
The 3rd annual Taste of Templeton Wine Festival, hosted at the Templeton Community Park, will feature over 50 booths, including over 25 North County boutique wineries.
Attendees can taste olive oil, wine and food from local purveyors, browse arts and crafts vendors, and enjoy live music from the main stage, including acoustic guitarist Jim Sweetwater; Brazilian folk quintet, Choro de Ouro; and headliner, the 9-person funk bank Captain Nasty. Food options will also be available for purchase and picnic areas are provided near the main stage.
Farmer’s Market is held in the park from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and then Taste of Templeton kicks off at 1 p.m. and goes until 5 p.m. Tickets are $35 pre-sale and $40 at the door and include a souvenir stemless wine glass. This year’s festival supports must! charities, a Templeton-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving quality of life in San Luis Obispo’s North County by offering “hope, compassion, and resources to those in need.” Must! charities walks alongside other local organizations to create long-term, sustainable transformation within the region. Must! charities currently works with Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club and the Food Bank Coalition’s “Real Food for Real Children” program.
