Songwriters at Play to host Lynn Langham and Doug Gill in March
Songwriters at Play, a local organization dedicated to showcasing top talent from California’s Central Coast region and touring professional artists, recently announced three new opportunities in March to enjoy the musical stylings of Lynn Langham and Doug Gill.
Langham and Gill will share the stage as they’ve done many times at such Music City venues as The Bluebird Cafe. Both are accomplished performers, as well as writers for major recording artists.
Langham’s song “Old Yellow Moon” is the title track of Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell’s Grammy-winning CD. Her songs were also recorded by musical greats such as Carolyn Hester, Ty Herndon, Trisha Yearwood, Lynn Anderson, Holly Dunn and others.
Gill wrote “I Just Come Here for the Music,” a Grammy nominee for Don Williams & Allison Krauss. Patty Loveless, Pam Tillis, Chris LeDoux, Tammy Wynette, Wynonna Judd, and the Marshall Tucker Band have also covered his songs.
