–Well, we have wrapped up the winter sport season with many successes. One in particular is the amazing tale of a young man named Tannen Soojian. Tannen is a wrestler…a senior leader on a young team looking for guidance. He has worked so very hard to develop his craft and it is now paying off. Tannen competed in the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet this last weekend and finished 2nd. None of the other competitors saw him coming, and he worked his way through the ranked opponents to become a truly elite wrestler. He goes to the California State Meet next week to compete. Needless to say, we are very proud of Tannen as he embodies what it means to be a scholar and a champion.
Spring sports have launched, and things look promising. Track and Field, Baseball, Softball, Swimming and Boy’s Golf and Boy’s Tennis combined have more than two hundred students participating.
The ASB Leadership produced this year’s Mock Rock, which was a huge success. The theater classes are rehearsing every chance they get for the upcoming performance of Grease.
We have scheduling for next year proceeding smoothly and things are very promising. It is hard to believe that the 2015/2016 school year will be in the books on June 8. It’s true that time flies when you’re having fun!
