$20 thousand worth of stolen property recovered
On Saturday at approximately 1:37 a.m. San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled over a vehicle on an enforcement stop. Sheriff’s Deputies contacted Dashia Monet Lee, Mercedes Denise Cannonier, and Latalia Annette Smith driving northbound on Highway 101 and Wellsona Road in Paso Robles.
During the traffic stop it was determined that there was stolen property in the vehicle. Sheriff’s Deputies recovered approximately $20,000 worth of items believed to have been stolen from retailers in Southern California. Many of the stolen items came from Victoria Secret, Lids, and American Girl, however other retailers appear to have been victimized as well. Items included toys, clothing, and make-up. Sheriff’s Deputies also found burglary tools during their investigation.
Lee, Cannonier, and Smith were booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on charges of felony possession of stolen property, and possession of burglary tools. Smith also had warrants for grand theft and battery out of Santa Clara County, as well as a warrant for theft out of Napa County.
