Heritage Oaks Family Fun Run returns this Sunday

Heritage Oaks Family Fun Run10K, 5K, One Mile, Half-Mile, 75-Yard Dash and Diaper Dash Races to be held in Paso Robles City Park

– Heritage Oaks Bank is hosting its 18th Annual Family Fun Run on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Paso Robles City Park, and registration is now open. The Fun Run supports local non-profit organizations and provides athletic events along with free activities in the park for the entire family, with face painting, balloon art, a pancake breakfast, train rides, inflatables, arts & crafts and more. Each race participant will receive a collectible t-shirt, race medal and will be eligible for random prize drawings.

• Online registration ends at mid night Sept. 21
• In-person registration and check-in on Saturday at the downtown park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Race day registration starts at 7 a.m. on Sunday

Participants are encouraged to invite family and friends to join in the festivities, and can enter races online at www.hobfunrun.com or by visiting a Heritage Oaks Bank branch for an entry form.

All Fun Run race entry fees will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County, the Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo and the Paso Robles Public Library Foundation. Last year, Fun Run entry fees generated over $21,000 for local non-profit organizations.

This year’s Fun Run will be highlighted by the 10K and 5K races. Prize money will be awarded to the top three male and female racers for the 10K race and the top male and female for the 5K race with a total prize purse of $1,700 for both races.

Other race events include the one-mile run for all ages, half-mile run for kids ages 5 to 12 years old, 75-yard kids dash for kids up to 5 years old (parents are welcome to run free with kids), and the Not-So-Dirty Diaper Dash where each crawler tries to go 5 yards.

The Heritage Oaks Bank Family Fun Run is supported by the City of Paso Robles and sponsored by IQMS, Mullahey Chysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Zurn Wilkins, REC Foundation, Idler’s Home and Twin Cities Community Hospital.
